Combines the edge of your seat races and challenges against the back drop of incredible places all over the world. My enjoyment of watching this show could only be matched by actually being on the show.

Sure, it's cheesy, the bad singers are annoying and the judges' comments are biased, but, after five seasons, this show is still one of the most engrossing reality shows on TV.

Animal Cops |
At times, this show is difficult to watch and incredibly sad as they show the terrible things people can do to animals. Then, you see the face of a rescued dog or cat who has found happiness in a new home and you realize the necessity for shows like this to bring awareness of the problem of animal abuse. The Animal Cops Houston and, the new, Animal Cops San Francisco are the best of the seasons.

Apprentice |
Though many of the tasks seem more like glorified ad commercials than real business projects, the show continues to entertain with the clashes of the type A personalities and the always brilliant Caroline.

Changing Rooms |
The show that America's Trading Spaces was based upon, and one that is far more entertaining. The interior designers are funny (Linda), consistant (Graham), and awful (Laura) and hot (Gordon). And Erich likes watching Handy Andy work.

Another show we've come late into the game, this crime solving series combines detective work and old music like nothing on television. Linking the year the past crime took place, with songs from the same time.

Jill Hennessy and the rest of the quirky cast entertain in this lively and often quirky show. Each of the different characters bring something to the show, although Lily is our personal favorites.

Not a particular favorite of mine as I have never gotten into the CSI franchise, but, Erich loves this show (and Gary Sinise). The only thing that keeps me hooked to the screen is the blond hottie, Carmine Gionazzo.

Desperate Housewives |
The prime time soap opera is back, this time with smarts. With an overall dark comedy tone, this show manages to encapsulate the hypocrasies of outward appearances and secrets behind closed doors of life in the suburbs. Mysterious and funny, with each episode it can't seem to get better, until the next episode appears.

The quality of this show seems to ebb and flow. Presently, it is in a dry spell, but, Erich continues to watch this ever present medical show.

This detective show is intriguing as it is entertaining. The techniques used to catch killers is so amazing it's incredible anyone thinks they could ever get away with a crime. Plus, you'll everything you need to know about mitochondrial DNA.

Ghost Whisperer |
While I liken this show to a poor man's Medium, Erich's thinks it is one of best new shows on television and can often be found crying at around the 54 minute mark of each episode.

Grey's Anatomy |
Somehow manages to be funny, touching, sad and melodramatic all in one episode. This new hospital dramedy is by far one of the best new shows on television, even if it is a bit soapy. Though Meredith's never ending narration gets old and George's ever present kicked puppy personality can be tedious, the casting is so devine that even someone brought in as a "villain" (Addison) becomes on the most sympathetic characters on the show. Plus, you can never get enough Sandra Oh.

There is no better way of spending your Saturday than putting on HGTV and escape into the fabulous world of home renovation. Best shows include House Hunters, Designer's Challenge, Design on a Dime, City Gardener and Divine Design.

Life on the D List |
We accidentally began watching this show after catching an episode of Project Runway and found this to be one of the most hilarious shows on television. People may find Kathy obnoxious and crude, but how could we possibly hate someone who admits to speaking "gay" and is an unabashed "blue state" girl. And no one can do sarcastic and self deprecating humor better.

Lost |
Though no longer a must see, this show still has a terrific cast and enough mysteries to keep up watching. But, if there isn't some real progress made before the end of this season, we may just wait until the DVD to come out to watch anymore.

This half improvised, The Office-like show is both confounding and hilarious at the same time. The cast features the lesbian from Best In Show (Jane Lynch) and Jan from the movie version of the Bradys (Jennifer Elise Cox). A must for those who love dry, slapstick humor.

Though, the sketches have slipped a little this season, MadTV continues to be one of the funniest sketch comedies on TV. Nothing on Saturday Night Live beats seeing Stephanie Weir in any sketch. She is truly the funniest person on television.

After wisely picking Aubrey and Andrea to be in his new girl band, we finally get to see the group produce their album. Though the name Danity Kane is quite awful, the girls are all ready to be stars and, if they fail it, it will be because of poor song choice, not lack of talent.

Patricia Arquette heads this interesting and unique investigation show. Though the premise of the show focues on the way she solves crimes, through visions and dreams, it is the relationship she has with her husband (played by Jake Weber) and her family that makes the show a standout amongst crime solving shows.

Meerkat Manor |
The day to day life of a colony of Meerkat's (named the Whiskers) filmed in the African desert. There is more drama and action with this group of adorable animals than on any other family drama on television. Besides, even the most cynical could deny not help but smile at the sight of the meerkat babies running across the desert, playing and learning from their elders.

Project Runway |
The top tier of reality programming. Rather than your normal fame seeking, no talents, the contestants in this show actually have skills and creativity. And the show's creator Heidi Klum and, resident mentor, Tim Gunn are the heart and create challenges that aren't just an excuse to shill some new product.

Surpisingly funny and enjoyable, Tori is more appealing and talented than people give her credit for. And Loni Anderson is revelation as Tori's neurotic and slight mad mother. I hope there is another season.

It is great to watch a show that focuses on dance and brings together modern pop and hip hop style with contemporary and ballroom. And second judge Mary Murphy is like that drunk, loud aunt that comes to your family reunion and is hilarious because says anything that comes to mind without any care of offending others.

People keep saying that Survivor has lost it's appeal, but the show continues to intoxicate you. Each episode there's a new charactor to talk about, make fun of, or dislike. I just can't wait 'til they have celebrity Survivor!

Veronica Mars |
One of the best kept secrets on TV. A rare combination of funny, smart and intriguing. The premise sees Veronica Mars, a precocious high school outcast, helping her dad, or going behind his back, investigate crimes in the shady SoCal town of Neptune. I truly hope this finds an audience as it one of the best shows on television.
